“To each is given the manifestation of the spirit for the common good.” – 1 Corinthians 12:7
The common good is the benefit or interests of all. As Christians, we have the responsibility to use the spirit to glorify the Lord and edify the body. There are many people that will abuse the gifts and use them for their own glory, or to bring down other believers. In 1 Corinthians 14:26 “What then, brothers? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up.”
Today I will lead people into worship, for the glory of God and for the building up of my brothers.
